About Machiko Maeda

Machiko Maeda is the main Kaga Inlay metalsmith, and lives in Kanazawa, Japan. She has been studying under Mamoru Nakagawa, the National Living Treasure of Metals, for 16 years. She continues to study different inlay techniques such as Takaniku Zogan (high relief inlay), and Kebori (Japanese carving) from Takaoka, Toyama.
